Chameleon Eco Farm Stay and Cultural Tours

Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Zeit in Lushoto. Die Unterkunft befindet sich außerhalb der Stadt mitten in der Natur und man hat von dort einen wunderschönen Ausblick auf die umliegenden Berge. Die Besitzer sind sehr lieb und engagiert und auch das Essen ist sehr zu empfehlen. Die Unterkunft ist sehr schön gestaltet und soll laut Besitzer in Zukunft noch weiter erweitert werden (z.B. um einen Gemeinschaftsraum, da hierfür aktuell nur die Terasse zur Verfügung steht und es dort abends schon kalt werden kann). Die Ausstattung der Räume bzw. Bäder entspricht dem Standard, den wir in Tansania als üblich erlebt haben. Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen und wir würden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen! ☺️

Nice accomodation! It’s a newer place so they are still figuring some stuff out but the kindness of the people working there is above and beyond. We really liked their vision, using fruit and vegetables from their own garden en the boss took people in that really deserved the opportunity of working there. Great starting place for hikes also! They can arrange a good guide for you.

We had a room with a gap between the window and the wall which could make it a bit cold at night, but I’m sure they will fix it.

The view, the food

The room was not ready to stay in. There are big spaces between the walls that every little animal from the outside can go in. No mirrors in the room. Some of the windows don't have curtains, so anyone can look inside through. The water in the shawer are not really hot. The location is trouble if you don't have a car. There is no way to get out of there, only with the owner help (which even he has only one motorcycle who can't carry two people while going up to farm). And a tip for me to all females traveling solo- don't go there!!

Lovely staff, run by local people, beautiful spot in nature, possibility to make daytrips and 3/4/5 day hikes with a super guide (thank you Haji), Hamza the owner took good care of us, beautiful sky full of stars and real silence. The place attract the kind of guests that are easy going and conscious so you can have nice conversations! We liked the fact that there was no WIFI yet, radiation free environment (place is starting up) and basic facilities; this is a matter of personal taste…

It's not the place for people who look for perfect 5-star hotel experience, but it's for people who look for perfect atmosphere, nature and views:) Room we stayed in was very nice, with balcony. The host - Hamza, is super charming, positive person and he will make sure your stay will be great. For breakfasts and dinners, the portions are superbig and the food is tasty.

The room with balcony, the view over the mountains!!! Was magical :) also you can do a lot of nice hikes from there. Also the staff is very friendly.

A bit outside of town, you can enjoy some time in a very quiet area with a stunning view. Haji was amazing and took some time to walk around the area and explained everything a lot about the villages and flora and fauna.the food was amazing, cheap, plentiful and freshly cooked (plus nice view ;)). It's quite new so not everything is set up yet, but we are sure it's amazing once it's done.
