Very comfortable room, Samir even changed our mattress for us to a soft one. Incredibly hospitable, we had a wonderful stay and were so well looked after! Balcony looked out onto a beautiful Mountain View. Homecooked included breakfast was delicious.

Nothing at all, an absolute favourite from our trip!

Location

Location is very nice and peaceful. Samir uncle ji is the best host you can ever get in your trip to Darjeeling. Polite, helpful , and such a gem of a personality.

The family who own and run this hotel are very kind, and helpful. The wife is an excellent cook. The husband helped me to obtain a ride back to Siliguri. The view from the balcony of the mountains and valley were exceptional.

Finding the hotel the first time was a little difficult since It's off the main road and down some steps. A bigger sign near the steps would be helpful.

I stayed at Dew Drops Homestay during my solo workation trip to Darjeeling for 3 days, and it truly felt like a home away from home. From the very beginning, Mr. and Mrs. Gurung made me feel like I was visiting old friends rather than meeting them for the first time. Their warmth, kindness, and hospitality left a lasting impression on me. The breakfast every morning was homemade, delicious, and so filling that I often ended up skipping lunch! The room was clean and well-equipped with all essentials—smart TV, geyser, electric kettle, comfy mattress, working WiFi, wardrobes, and cabinets. Everything I needed for both comfort and productivity was right there. Though the weather was mostly cloudy and foggy during my visit, the view from the balcony and terrace was still stunning—floating clouds rolling over the layered hills created a magical vibe. I was lucky enough to catch glimpses of the snowy Kanchenjunga peaks on the day I checked out. I’d love to come back again during winter for a clearer view. The neighborhood was quiet and the people nearby were equally friendly. Mr. Gurung also helped me explore local shortcuts since I love walking and discovering places on foot. Overall, it was an incredibly warm and fulfilling experience.

There’s honestly very little to complain about. The only thing to keep in mind is that the homestay is located a bit downhill from Hill Cart Road, which could be slightly challenging for elderly guests or anyone with mobility issues. Also, if you’re using Google Maps to find the place, it might suggest a wrong route. It’s best to use Hotel Priyatam (on Hill Cart Road) as a landmark for accurate directions.

The homestay is so well maintained and the view from the balcony is breathtaking. You can sit there whole day enjoying the view. Mr.Gurung and Mrs.Gurung are the nicest and most humble people ever and they take care of each and every need. Super duper clean. It is near the railway station.

It is little far from mall road around 2 km. It is fun walking but can be tiring.

I like there service nd they are very humble and down to earth ,they know how to respect the client nd breakfast is also tasty and delicious 🤤😋.if I got chance to visit again dargelling definitely I'll choose this hotel only .u can't feel I'm in another house or out of city due to they are behaving like a family.you must visit , thanks for everything service and all.

There is nothing to dislike

I like the service provided by them. It feels homely. Staff is polite and helpful. I liked the breakfast provided by them

We stayed 2 nights in Dew Drops Guesthouse and got spoiled by Samir and Kesia. What a warm welcome! We enjoyed the delicious home made breakfast! She made specially a non-spicy Nepalese dish for us. Yummie! The rooms are basic, but spotless clean! The view from the terrace on the Kanchenjunga on clear days is truly amazing!! And Samir and Kesia always want to help, eg tell you the best places where to buy good tea or help you with a guide.

The guesthouse is located in a small alley, only reachable by steps from the main road. However, Samir is very helpful explaining you (or your driver) where to stop and he will pick you up from there. The mattresses are super firm to western standards.

The hosts were extremely kind, humble and helpful. We will definitely recommend their property to our friends or family.
