Traffic! (Not your fault)

It's a very nice historic house close to the downtown area (5 min by car). Very well equipped, with nice kitchen and laundry room in addition to the bedrooms. Cozy living room and comfortable beds. Well managed, with the attention to detail - I liked the nice little touches and the thoughtfullness of the owners. Easy communication with the management. Easy check-in/checkout process.

We arrived late at night, and the area around seemed not very safe, as the house is right near a very busy road, with traffic and the construction nearby, and not very residentially looking. However, in the end I think our fears were exaggerated, the house is just not in the quiet residential area. The road is quite busy at night and there is noise from the cars, especially in one of the bedrooms, enhanced by the installed AC system which allows noise inside through the windows. The owners, however, are aware of the problem and are in the process of solving the issue. The earplugs are also provided. We had a good sleep nevertheless, but for more sensitive clients the noise could be an issue and one should be aware of it while booking.

The accommodations were roomy and the bathroom was clean. Parking was easy and convenient. The price was decent.

Because it was a pet friendly rental, it smelled like pets. The carpet had muddy paw prints on them and the kitchen floor looked like it had not been cleaned. Blankets needed to be laundered. Located on noisy street.
