The Lake House

All great. A bonus would have been a heated pool. Quiet area and well placed to visit the Cape.

Very well kept, and well decorated, we loved the house, it was immaculate. Lovely pool Nice walks by the lake Gated community with good security Close to beaches

The check-in instructions sent through booking.com are not clear , it just says “key in the lock box” and gives you no code so I frantically tried to call the numbers from the airport but then received an email to say the hosts are out of the country and not contactable. Finally a lady replied on the messaging app advising of the code. I feel that this should be more organized. The lake is toxic and has some algae that is toxic to the skin. Loads of mosquitoes, not ideal It’s about a 10 minute walk from a township, didn’t bother us but I know some people would feel weary. Host got the dates wrong, asked us to come and collect our things as we were holding up the cleaning lady, only later to realize that we were checking out the next day. Caused us to be a bit upset as we were enjoying our day on top of table mountain. The day we arrived the bathroom smelled of paint, which gave me a terrible headache. There was also another guy living in a part of the house which we were unaware of. It’s probably something you should mention as a host.
