Large London home with Free parking

Excellent access to transport into London. Short walk to the bus stop, then onto the underground. Area felt safe for walking later at night. Good to have off road parking. Very welcoming to have a couple of lights left on as we arrived late. Nice touches in the home such as artwork, and soft furnishings. Very nice, comfortable living room. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Needed a couple more wine glasses as not enough for 5 people. Had to use the plastic glasses that would be used outside. Hot tub not available, but not too bothered about that, although other guests might expect to use it. It looks like it would only be used in the warmer months anyway. There were other people living in the garage conversion. It wasn't a problem, but would have been nice to know before we arrived.

The house is situated in a lovely, family oriented and quiet neighbourhood. We liked the house especially as it had several bedrooms with en-suite facilities. The kitchen was well equipped ( some missing pieces) . I wasn’t sure how to use some of the appliances, so was pleased that the host arranged for someone to come over and explain. The bedrooms were spacious. The garden was superb and I guess the hot tub would have been great, unfortunately we did not get to use it. It was great to have a TV with the various channels.

The house was home for a week, however we could not use any of the wardrobes, so felt we were living out of our suitcases. A booklet on how to use the appliances would have been useful. The bathrooms apart from the cloakroom were clean, however the kitchen needed to be cleaned. The patio area was much better after it was cleaned.

Was very untidy and cupboards were full of things. Couldn’t store things, had to leave things in the room which made it difficult for guests to sleep in. Iron board was missing.

Convenient parking on drive

Upstairs toilet smelled of stagnant water like a bog. Couldn't get rid of the smell with rinsing all the drains so just closed the door and used the en suite bathrooms instead. Superficially cleaned but dust and cobwebs in multiple corners. My main issue is the deposit. It has been 2 weeks since we left and despite being told I would receive my money back initially within 48 hours, then within 3 to 7 working days, I still haven't got it back. My last message to the property asking for an update was ignored. Will have to go through my credit card company to get the £250 back but save yourself the hassle and don't book this place or cancel your booking if you already have.

Reasonably priced, beautiful and convenient location as well.
