The L Motel Downtown/NAU Conference Center

Location is fantastic!!!! Just across NAU with a very good coffee place beside the hotel and a supermarket on the corner. Very convenient for who is visiting

The only problem is that on the last night, at 4am the police went and arrested the guy next door to my room, which was pretty scary because the police kept on asking about all the blood that there was in the room. Maybe there could be a better way to check the guests because I am second guessing stay there again when I go back to Flagstaff

Just so you know my family typically stays in 4-5 Star hotels. This one time we picked close and cheap to snowbowl. So I tried to remove bias in my rating. It met our very basic needs. Indoors, safe, beds, heater, bathroom, and even microwave and fridge. although you get what you pay for, for the price it was worth it

It was one of those, ya get what ya paid for. This place is budget friendly, I didn’t feel like the sheets or bathroom were dirty despite the well used bathroom. The front desk gentleman was friendly Enough. The cleaning lady waved and smiled at me as I was leaving. It’s those little things that give a hotel of this caliber life, all and all I would stay there again.

The room had an extremely strong smell of fabulousa or some fragrance. Nothing wrong with that. However I personally do not like that smell at all.

When you book a small, independent motel you roll the dice. The outside of this one made me leery (outside walls could use repairs and paint). But management was nice. Mostly importantly, the room was extremely clean and the property was quiet.
