"Good location but needs some updating"

Good location for our trip into Big Bend National Park

Old house with the typical issues that old houses have. The floors sloped noticeably towards the back of the house. Bathroom fixtures need updating.

I found the TV in my bedroom hard to figure out and there weren't many channels available. I thought the furniture in the living room was a little musty and could've been a bit more modern.

"Truly Exquisite Place to stay."

Exquisitely restored and furnished early 1900’s home. extremely comfortable. excellent location.

Lack of bath soap/shampoo sent us to the store quickly. (Bring your own toiletries means bring these things) only thing missing but we booked right before arrival so I missed it. Our fault not realizing before arrival.

"Perfect historic house for a quiet stay"

Holland house was so cute, absolutely perfect for our stay! The neighborhood cats joined us for morning coffee on the porch, the beds had both soft and firm pillows which I thought was a very thoughtful touch, the house itself was perfect: cute, functional, and clean.

The grass was a little tall in the backyard but I chalk that up to heavy rains and whoever maintains the lawn probably had the holiday off.

Perfect place to stay in Alpine! Adorable beautifully kept house, a great combination of vintage and up to date. Walking distance into town. The host was so accommodating and very responsive to questions. HIGHLY RECOMMEND for visitors to Alpine, Marfa, and Big Bend National Park.
