KIRTIPUR COMFORT HOMESTAY with breakfast & dinner

The host family was really friendly and welcoming. Easy to communicate with and accommodated my dietary requirements. The room was spacious, comfy and clean. I really valued the private WC too!

I would absolutely recommend this homestay! This was my first time staying in a homestay and the family have made me feel so welcome in Kirtipur! It is such a cosy place and Suzu and Ama have been so helpful and kind to me. It’s a great location and has a spacious garden with seating for being outside and watching the sunset. The meals were delicious and generous and I stayed longer than I expected since I was enjoying myself so much!

My Girlfriend and I stayed in this homestay for two weeks during an internship we did in Kirtipur. If you plan to stay in the region of Kathmandu, I can recommend Kirtipur because compared to the center of Kathmandu it isn't too noisy and still you can go to Kathmandu by a cab very easy and cheap. The hostfamily around Aashish is unbelievable friendly. They help you with everything you could think of. On first sight there may be cheaper options to sleep over in Nepal. If you consider that the prize includes not only breakfast but also lunch and dinner you won't find anything comparable here. Also the food is sooo good and always freshly cooked. In addition the homestay got a waterfilter, so you can fill up your waterbottles during the stay whenever you want. This homestay made our two weeks stay in Kirtipur very comfortable. We felt like we would be part of the family for years during our stay. I can highly recommend this place!

Kirtipur Comfort Homestay has become my happy place! From the location, community, homestay family to food, I have had a wonderful experience. The family—Aashish, Amma, and Suju—made me comfortable from the moment I arrived. Without even having the expectation, they came and picked me up from the airport, which was a great help as it can be scary to come to a new country sometimes. As a solo female traveler who stayed for over 6 months at the homestay, I felt extremely safe, comfortable, and at home. Never did I expect to find a family in Nepal, and I surely did. Aashish is a great human being; his love and passion for cinema and spirituality are evident. We all stayed up late watching movies, talking endlessly about random things, or going out and exploring. Suju is an easy-going, loving, and light-hearted person who will surely make you feel comfortable from the moment you arrive. Amma makes the best food, and she will always make sure you’re well-fed. Making sure you are eating well is her sign of love. They are also very respective of personal space and provide a perfect balance of a comforting homestay while involving you in cultural activities if you are interested. The homestay itself has great facilities, and the backyard is especially nice, providing an outdoor relaxation retreat from the busyness of Kathmandu. There is also a backyard movie projector where we watch movies and Amma makes the most fresh popcorn! The location is perfect as well, only a few minutes' walk to nice sunset views by the suspension bridge, 7-10 minute walk to the gym, 1min walk down the street from famous restaurants like Sasa, and a 5-7 min walk to Kirtipur Hospital where I was working as a medical research fellow. I will definitely be coming back to Nepal, and it will be to see my family at Kirtipur Comfort Homestay. ❤️

I stayed at Aashish/Suzu/Aama's place for over a month. It's now already weeks ago since I had to leave, but I still have to think about that place a lot. I can only share good memories. The incredible kindness, the great food, the deep talks as well as joking around will stay in my head forever. I can only recommend the place.

You wanna feel right at home while staying at the end of the world? That’s your place! Aashish, Suzu and Aama are the most wholesome homestay owners I have ever met! From the very beginning they made me feel absolutely welcome and helped me adjusting to the very new surroundings in no time! After getting picked up at the airport and finding our way through the chaotic streets of Kathmandu, we arrived at their lovely home in Kirtipur. While still being very close to the city centre and all the other attractions in Kathmandu valley, Kirtipur offers a calm and genuine atmosphere. The house itself is wonderful! The rooms are situated on three different floors. On each of them there is a bathroom to be found – so you won’t need to share it with too many people! The room you are sleeping in offers enough space for all your luggage, offers great comfort and gives you the privacy you want. And if you are fed up with privacy, the spacious living room and just finished dream of a garden creates great opportunity to meet other guests, take a nap on a couch, read, watch a movie or whatever else you can imagine! And of course you shouldn’t miss out on spending time with Aashish, Suzu and Aama themselves! They make you feel part of their family and the time we shared together was one of the most precious time during my whole trip in Nepal! We had great conversations, interesting discussions, watched whole series together, studied (a bit) Nepali and most importantly: we had looooots of fun! Aaaand loooots of amazing food! I have never eaten so well so often in my life! Own cooked food or the best of the best the local food shops have to offer day after day! In the morning time you could have Dal Bhat or if you were very early in the morning / in a hurry, some western style breakfast was prepared also! I stayed in Nepal for nearly two months and with Aashish’s family for a total of 5 weeks – every single day with them was a treat!

Can't complain about anything - experience for yourself!

This was infact my 2nd stay at this Homestay and it was just as perfect as it was the 1st time around. As a regular visitor to Nepal, this is now my 'go-to' homestay for future visits. The homestay is hosted by Aaishish, his wife, Suzu, and their mum, Aama and they have become like my family in a very short time. I had a great room with a balcony so this was lovely. Shared bathroom but the house infact has 3 bathrooms, one for each of the 3 floors of the house. Hot water each day which was a blessing and very strong wifi so working from here is very easy. I had multiple plug points in my room so could get everything charged up very easily. They also provide filtered water freely for drinking. The family are just so lovely. They make you feel very at ease and definitely accept you as a family member. We had a few movie nights and called in Pizza a few times. They also have a brilliant large garden that you can sit in.. The garden is the pride of Aashiish and he sometimes puts on movies in the garden also in the evening which is a real treat. The garden has multiple patios and a fab banana tree! Food is plentiful ! The homestay just keep trying to feed you all the time and both Aama & Suzu are wonderful cooks. Black tea or milk tea is available all day and you can ask for any special requests. I am not a huge lover of spicy foods so the family accommodated all my 'quirks' perfectly and always had options for me. The area is about 5km outside of Thamel and the city so its costs about 500 rupees to taxi back and forth. About 200m from the house is a modern coffee shop with also free wifi. On the same road as the homestay are 2 great restaurants which offer all kinds of food, coffees and drinks. They give you a little western reminder if you need this. Kirtipur is a real local town outside of the commerciality of Thamel and you can still easily access everywhere.
