Sogno del Mare

Location close to the beach.

I highly recommend all people to stay away from this property. When we arrived about 1500 the hotel looked like a construction site and the staff was not easy to find. The room was not ready so we went for a short drive before the room was ready. The room was listed at sea view and a terrace but you had to go out of the room to sit outside next to all other rooms to see the sea. The WIFi didn't work either. Towels and toilet paper were missing, but we were provided with that after we yet again had to search for the staff. The bathroom was horrible.. 2 used soapbars in the window sill. Several clusters of insects-egg in the roof of the bathroom. After we noticed the spider in a big spiderweb in the shower together with a inoperable faucet we had enough! Yet again searched for the staff asking that we needed a room with an acceptable bathroom, but that was declined. I stedet this is an unacceptable accommodation and we wanted to cancel our stay and get a refund. The staff called the manager and we were informed to take this issue up with booking.com. So we left the hotel for another one and I have filed a claim with booking.com Consider yourself warned

When we arrived near 5pm, the keeper told us the hotel was not in operation. No electricity, the room was wet because of heavy rain. We asked whether we could stay one night for we have paid thru yhe Web. The amswer was no, because the room was wet. There was nothing we could do but left. We have spent 250 peso to the tricycle cab and had to find another hotel !Make sure and check clearly whether the hotel is in operation or not, or you did pay and without accommodation! It costs a lot of time, money and disappointment. In the next morning, we employed a motorcycle to go to the beach again, and found the Sogno de Mare hotel was just nearby! We missed the chance to spend a night there, to hear the roaring of waves, to see the hundering noise of heavy waves ! If the hotel were in operation, it would deserve the price. Please check with Booking.com to make sure, or the payment couldn't be returned or refund ! We do not know whether the booking.com would take heed of my need, or listen to my complaint? If not, it has been two, to three times that disappointed me, especially in a hotel in Baguio, Wanay Rocky homestay, the road was extremely dangerous and the view was so ordinary, with steel bars and cement posts everywhere instead of pine trees. Don't go, for the road leading to the so-called Wanay homestay was too dangerous, steep and slippery! It could be misleading by some comments given. There have been many illegal construction along the hill of Baguio, with trees cutting, and constructing squatters everywhere.

Sogno del Mare is a perfect place to stay if you want to have the best experience in Vigan. Not only that, it's minutes away from Vigan. Its outstanding beach view from dust til dawn is what will make your experience more memorable. You can easily access the beach since it is just a few steps away from the property. We rented their rooftop room, which is big enough for our family of 15. They were able to put a lot of beds for us, which is still very comfortable for everyone. Sogno del Mare has a shared kitchen for all the guests. But it's big enough and very spacious to everyone. They also offered free mineral water to everyone, which is amazing. You can also do your laundry there and use their washer and dryer if you want. Their attendant ate Weng is also amazing and very accommodating. Our family loved her so much. She's a gem. We're definitely going back to their property, and we'll gladly recommend it to everyone.

There are lots of caterpillars/ higad in the property. Though the attendant ate Weng tried to remove most of it every morning. But still, it's kinda scary. But since it's so close to nature. It's understandable. You just have to be extra careful.

Staff weren't attentive and were busy with their own agendas. Check in time was 2pm, however, we arrived at 4pm and they only started "cleaning" - meaning spraying rooms with disinfectant spray. Unsure if bedding is clean as we only stayed within 30 mins before moving to another accommodation. At the time we witnessed the staff stepping on pillows and bed with barefoot while fixing curtains. No toilet papers, towels and bin as advertised, we had to ask for them to which staff responded with needing to buy the items first. Cat poo in patio outside our rooms that people have stepped on and left uncleaned. Staff took 20 mins to hand in keys. In general my family didn't feel comfortable and secure enough, even for a quick overnight stay. I think the information and photos posted here are misleading.
