The beds are on the smaller side and there is some noise from the highway next to the park.

The most beautiful lodge, very modern. The hot tub was incredible and everything was so clean. They check the hot tub each morning to make sure it’s ready and are available if you need any help. Everyone was so friendly. Beautiful place to stay even for a couple of days or longer. Shop and petrol on site which is perfect.

Great location, local wildlife and peaceful park. Welcome cleaning packs and towels are a great addition.

We had a number of appliance issues. TV was defective, damaged backlight caused 2 big white orbs on the screen. Electric Fire was faulty and shorted after 30 seconds. Front door was warped with a gap at the top. Exposed wiring to uncovered smoke alarm. Boiler wasn’t working, L2 ignition locked error code which I managed to fix. We were out exploring during the office hours so used the online enquiry form to report the issues as we didn’t see them as emergency problems. We didn’t hear anything back at all.

The setting was quiet and the lodge was comfortable.

The Booking.com promo for the 'luxury' lodge, shows the terrace looking over the river. In fact, this image should be changed as it is not an option. All lodges looking over the water are privately owned. Unfortunately, the playground was being repaired, so was unable for my 4-year-old grandson. The kitchen could use one larger saucepan (for cooking pasta for 4!) and could also use a salad bowl. Our last evening, a lodge was pulled into the park. That was exciting to watch and to see how it was unloaded from the truck. Unfortunately, it was then left there till the next morning, so our view was gone and looked straight onto the lodge.
