"Home from Home 🙂"

10.0

We absolutely loved this little cottage. It has such a homely feel. It was spotless and well decorated. The beds were very comfortable, as was the beautiful bedding. Communication with the owner was excellent and the location was just perfect. We will definitely come back as it was a wonderful place to stay. 10/10 🙂

There was nothing to dislike, it was so lovely.

Lovely welcome pack. Lots of fluffy towels. A few steps away from the town centre. Excellent host, easily contactable. It's definitely worth a visit.

A brand new refurbishment on an old property, made very sympathetically and to a good standard VERY central Easy to check in

I think the owners must be new to this as there were some fundimental flaws, to such an extent, I paid for 2 nights but only stayed one The refurbishment has been made very well and it is 'quirky' BUT - Parking impossible as Beverley town centre is all resident bays and all full. I parked outside the Beverley arms hotel on a meter - There was no info sheet on arrival. Just with basics like how to log onto wifi, how to use the TV, heating etc - TV did not play regular live tV channels, although had all the streaming services. I did contact the host but they said " read the manual" which was the one that came with the equipment, and would have taken me ages. If you can't turn the TV on with three clicks on a remote, then it needs to be improved. - There are LOTS of stairs / steps. Anyone who cant handle these should not book. Narrow as well. moving a suitcase up was a problem. - Bed was OK with nice linen, but not a great matress. I think very quickly the springs will go. - Bathroom was my biggest issue. I am 6 foot 1 and simply felt the very small bathroom was badly put together. The loo in a 90 degree angle, meant I had to bend over to use it. The sink is so m=small, you have to literally press your face against the mirror to brush your teeth. Shower was fine but little room to move around due to sloping ceiling I know this looks bad, and the owners have taken a great deal of care to make this comfortable, but I felt I had to move to the local hotel for the second night
