First of all it’s cold and it’s still winter, there is no Air conditioning, even worse no blankets, how do you sleep comfortably, I tried to reach out to the Host and he ignored my text, We had to go buy an electric blanket for us to be able to sleep warmly. Secondly it is a self catering apartment there should be enough kitchen utilities to make a meal, instead we ended up having to order out,spend more money than we had anticipated. Thirdly, the bathroom has no bin,no shower mat,nor does it have something to hang your bath towel. Lastly the host gave up a ticket as an access to the Lagoon, when we decided to go on Sunday, we were told that on the check out date ,we do not get access, and we need to pay extra, while as our host didn’t mention that our ticket is only for one day, we left sadly so. I cannot explain my dissatisfaction ,my waste of money. It was my horrible first time at the Blyde , if I ever happen visit that side again il make sure to try a better host

The lagoon is amazing.

You can only go to the lagoon for 1 day. On day of check out we were not allowed in the lagoon.

They r disorganized, it was the worst. I think management of that particular place was not up to standard..but after all the blyed is beautiful.

The location

There where no curtains or blinds in the main bedroom, furniture was broken , owner tried to charge for it , she knew it was damaged . The glue was barely dry. Shower door doesn't close , water every where.

Only the lagoon outside

Host not very welcoming. Struggle to get in by the gate. Couldn't sleep at night, bed sheets were wet. Host war aware of possible load shedding, but not even a candle in sight, at least. Tried to keep warm with gas heater in the dark but no gas, even with wet sheets, no extra blanket was provided. Wifi password didn't take. When we were leaving, explained all this to the host. She didn't even apologize just that the cleaner didn't say anything about it, worst was when she touched the sheets and didn't apologize. Shower floor not clean. Even the only good thing, the hot shower was not enjoyable because of it not being clean.
