The property has great opportunity since it is in front of the ocean.

The property is in dire neglect. It is half built. In any country this location is in serious health code violations, construction violations and tourism violations. The bathroom alone gives you about 5 different ways to electrocute yourself. There is no elevator which makes going up the stairs quite a track when there is sand, trash dirt all over them. It makes it quite easy to slip, fall and break any bone in your body. You could accidentally bump the wall and the router land in your head since it’s haphazardly hanging by its wire connected to the wall. I dared not partake of the breakfast given the sole appearance of the place.

The view was amazing, bedroom very nice.

The bathroom abit cramped, not looking like it was finished. Had to be careful didn't walk into shower door trying to squeeze past it to go toilet. Way too many stairs to get up an no lift.

Cool steaks in the restaurant

On check in & going to our room we realised not suitable due to our medical conditions,we were offered an alernative immediately,which was great. There is no evalvator in this hotel. The breakfast table view is stunning & the individual plate with tea was lovely& fresh bread,yum. We had various times for breakfast, best earlier as always & great to know it's there & was available on day after our arrival in the early hours at 12noon😊 so nice

Nothing really, staff were so polite,attentive, knew & recognised their guests after check in. So really nothing to dislike, budget at it's authentic best, if anything possibly a small moveable table which could be have been used in multiple areas of room or balcony for our comfort. So no complaints & would recommend to others & book again.

Circumstances left me alone in Calis for five nights. I spotted the Sea Door from the main walkway and thought - if I can get ‘the view’ - who cares about the rest. Coupled with a perfect score on Hotels.com for the room at a reasonable price I went straight there to book the room. A charming young South African man checked the rooms availability for me and I booked through the app. Over the course of the five days it seemed that this guy was really the only person on reception with any English at all. Although to be honest he didn’t give me wifi details or tell me where breakfast was. The room was on the fourth floor with no lift. This was explained at the time. I am used to stairs. For most of the stay the middle banister was loose and dangerous. The room telephone never worked. The fittings in this ‘new room’ were poorly fitted or just hanging off. I drop something under the bed at one point and found all sorts under there. Dust for days and old room slippers. The wet room never drained properly, which was a pain. The bed was covered in a scratchy wick type blanket which was too heavy and itchy in the heat. The clean towels were often makeup stained and the cleaning lady was borderline unpleasant in her morning exchanges - again - no English. But a smile would have gone far. At one point I had to step over her cleaning basket on the stairs. The AC worked well however and the restaurant staff were lovely. The view DID save things. But I won’t soon trust a perfect score!

Stuff was very nice but no elevator, smell bad from the entrance.
