Byzantine Home in the Castle

Thankyou for a wonderful stay in you beautiful house. The Island of Chios is a real gem. The medieval village of Mesta is a very special place and a wonderful example of well preserved history. Byzantine home in the castle is one of the most amazing places we have ever stayed. The attention to detail is suburb, and every part of the house has something interesting to look at. If you ever get the chance to visit the Island of Chios I highly recommend visiting the wonderful village of Mesta. The property has everything you need for the perfect self catering stay. The owner is very helpful and arranged Ms sevasti to meet us at the cafe in the main square to show us to the property. Desponia who runs the local market shop is also very helpful, and sells amazing authentic products. My favourite being the sweet red wine. We will definitely be returning to the property later in the year. 10 out of 10 from us 😁

A beautifully renovated property with thoughtful details in the heart of Mesta! We loved our stay here-the location is so unique and special and the home is very comfortable and clean. The village of Mesta is a gem and we enjoyed our time there very much. The owner is very responsive and was extremely helpful as we planned our trip. We were met upon arrival by Ms Sevasti who answered all our questions and was very pleasant. I highly recommend staying here- you will love it!

Magical Stay in a Castle at Mesta, Chios Our stay at this unique castle in Mesta, Chios, was nothing short of magical. One of the highlights of our stay was the warm hospitality, especially when we were served traditional Turkish tea. It was such a thoughtful touch that made us feel truly welcomed and cared for. The location, nestled in the medieval village of Mesta, allowed us to explore the historical surroundings, which only added to the enchantment of staying in a castle. We highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a unique and memorable getaway. We can’t wait to come back!

Nothing. Once we found our way through the maze of village alleys, it was all very manageable.

The house was amazing and every single details were considered by the owner. I'd really recommend the Byzantine Home who thinks to visit and stay in Mesta. My family and I absolutely enjoyed this experience.

The house had lots of character. Very historic and beautiful in a great location. Mesta is a beautiful village with very friendly people. We loved the atmosphere and it was so nice that there were no cars. We always found parking outside the village. We loved the beautiful beaches not too far away.

The wooden seating area was very beautiful but the seats were not that comfortable. There were a lot of beautiful things in the house but a little more space for our personal belongings would have been good especially as we were a family of four. We would have also liked an earlier check in. It would be good to fix the exact check-in time in advance.
