We arrived about 30 minutes before the scheduled check-in time and asked if it would be possible to access the room a bit earlier. While we understand that early check-in is never guaranteed, it took quite a long time for someone to be contacted and assist us. When they eventually did, it became clear that the room was not ready at all, as the previous guests had only just left. The space was in a very poor condition, and although a quick clean was carried out, it understandably could not be brought to a proper standard within such a short time. The delay and lack of coordination made the whole process unnecessarily tiring after our arrival. Additionally, the building itself is quite old and not particularly appealing from the outside, giving more of a warehouse-like impression. On a positive note, the location is excellent — right in the heart of Serres town square, with everything easily accessible on foot.
