Aloha Hoi An Homestay

This hotel was great! Just at the entrance of old town Hoi An, very small and cozy, and just far enough from the river madness to be able to people watch and shop easily without the club noise at night. The room was lovely, comfortable and nice lighting. The staff was very helpful and kind. They provided us with bikes, they had outdoor cold water jacuzzis that were a blessing in the summer heat. And the restaurant was great! It became my favorite place to eat in Hoi An actually and their ice cream was off the hook! I was eating it 3 times a day by the time we left. 10/10 would recommend!

Excellent location. Aloha is in the middle of a nice street, making it a short walk from the entrance to the old town on one end (where you would get picked up and dropped off if you were getting a ride) and the old dragon gate on the other, which is basically the start of the busiest area. This makes it convenient, but not quite in the midst of chaos, which is nice, because we discovered that the clubs along the river are LOUD at night. The people running the homestay couldn't be nicer. There are only a few rooms and we had booked two of them, so after showing us around it basically felt like it was ours. There were bikes to use to get to the beach and around town, two wooden jacuzzi tubs of cold water to cool down in in the courtyard, beautiful cool rooms to relax in, and I cannot rave enough about the food. Their restaurant makes some of the best food we have had in two weeks in Vietnam. We didn't really want to eat anywhere else. To arrive and leave, Think (sp?) arranged taxis for us both ways at very good prices and just included it in our bill, so we didn't have to worry about using the Grab app or paying a driver in cash. Everything about this stay was beyond our expectations. We loved it.

Everything is good. Location us best. The only i feel uncomfortable is the room and facility in room. Maybe that the style for house inside old town. The host is very nice , friendly and kind. I can review is 4☆

The room has very small mirror and no closet

The breakfast was great, mixed fruit eggs, toast, juice and coffee, pancakes as well.. The food in this homestay is amazing... We checked out on a Sunday which was a national holiday, we couldn't find any other hotels after looking for 4 hours and being scammed twice by airbnb, at the last moment, the hotel owner stepped in and let us stay in his room whilst he stayed at his parents, he went totally above and beyond and we are forever in debt to you, thank you so much!

My wife and I spent three wonderful nights at Aloha in Hoi An. It’s located within Hoi An Ancient Town, which means it isn’t affected by traffic or car noise, as cars aren’t permitted in the old town. Once the day visitors retreat, the area becomes wonderfully peaceful. It’s also only a short stroll from the 18th-century Japanese Bridge (Chùa Cầu) and the riverfront. Sure, you can find cheaper accommodation options, but they won’t be in the Ancient Town and they’re unlikely to feel as homely. As for Aloha Homestay itself, it’s beautifully presented — clean, charming, and full of character. The air conditioning is a godsend, particularly on those hot and humid days, providing a welcome refuge from the midday heat. It’s the sort of place where you can slow down and enjoy life at your own pace. The rooms don’t have TVs, but there is a communal lounge if you’re desperate, although we rarely saw anyone using it. The owner, Thinh, along with his family and small team, are absolutely lovely. They made us feel genuinely welcome and cared for throughout our stay. If you’re unsure where to eat, the onsite restaurant is fantastic. Sometimes it becomes tiring deciding where to go for dinner — searching Google, checking reviews, and weighing up options. Thankfully, Thinh and his family offer a wonderful selection of meals and a great opportunity to try local cuisine. We ate there two of the three nights we stayed and would wholeheartedly recommend it. I can’t speak highly enough of our time here — not only because of the location, accommodation, food, and beverages, but also because of the warmth and care shown by Thinh and his team. My wife and I would definitely stay here again.

Thinh and his team were very excellent hosts. They were so very friendly and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. They always made sure that I was comfortable or needed anything. The location was perfect. I would certainly return and recommended others to stay.

Felt like a home away from home, bed so comfortable, shared living areas very welcoming, whole place smelled incredible. Thinh was very helpful booking taxis and suggesting activities. Bikes available were very handy for getting around. Best food in Hoi An, coffee 10/10, location 10/10. Can’t thank Thinh and his family more for a great stay. Will recommend to any friends heading to Hoi An.

We loved that the property was in the middle of Ancient Town, the location could not have been better. We also loved the the family that ran the homestay, they were obliging and really fantastic.

I would have prefered their to be screens on the windows.

Ce homestay est vraiment super, la famille est extrêmement gentille, serviable, recommandante et très arrangeante. Nous pouvons utiliser les équipements et vélos librement, l'ambiance est chaleureuse. Le petit déjeuner est délicieux, il y a un service de laverie pour les vêtements. C'est joli, bien décoré, la chambre est conforme aux photos, très calme. C'est très bien situé. Nous avons énormément apprécié notre séjour ici et recommandons à 100%.

To be picky the bathroom could do with a upgrade, but I wanted to stay somewhere authentic and that’s what I got, no complaints
