Casa Mera Mera

Our family had a wonderful week-long stay at Casa Mera Mera! The house is spacious and beautiful, with art and handicrafts throughout, comfy beds, a delightful separate studio with a bedroom and full bath, and our favorite -- a sunny patio full of plants, small table and chairs and a hammock, making it an easy place to hang out for a few minutes or a few hours! The kitchen was well-supplied as were the bathrooms, drinking water, everything! Our hosts were wonderfully communicative and responsive -- the property manager met us to deliver the keys and make sure we knew where everything was, and when additional water was needed for bathing/cleaning, they responded immediately and arranged for it right away. They also provided excellent recommendations for cafes and restaurants in the neighborhood, as well as information on interesting things to see and do. We also loved the neighborhood which felt very vibrant and real, not touristy -- it was an easy 15 -20 min walk to wherever we wanted to go. We'll definitely recommend Casa Mera Mera to friends when they travel to Oaxaca, and if we ever get the opportunity to return to Oaxaca, we'll look forward to staying there again!

A very minor negative is that the front bedrooms get some traffic noise, but with the windows closed that's not a problem, and is not an issue in the studio.

The lighting throughout was poor Shower in studio was totally inefficient Replace towels — they need pure cotton/- they were nylon Moist traffic a problem Dishcloths in kitchen required

It was very spacious, clean, organized and had special and thoughtful items-fresh flowers, fruit, a book of suggestions for food, shopping and tours, toothbrush’s and toothpaste, ear plugs, opened windows upon arrival, great communication.

The most perfect house in Oaxaca. Beautiful, well equiped, authentic, out of the crowd.
