Property is in good location

An honest review: Please dont go by the hotel pictures. The condition of the hotel is really pathetic and the renovation going in hotel makes it more terrible. Breakfast is terrible and no wifi service to first floor. The staffs are very slow in service.

We stayed 2 nights with BB. First breakfast is quite OK. Nice location with the view of mountains.

Our second day breakfast was horrible. We didn't like at all. Room heaters provided at cost were not enough to bear the coldness. There was no kettle in my room. No tea/coffee packs available in the room. They didn't supply a kettle although I made several requests. Hot water geyser was unable to provide continuous hot water. No toilet papers available in the bathroom.

Just the staff was supportive.

So, I got a call from the owner a day before of my arrival that he wants me to move to different property of him which has a better view and amenities. I drove all the way from Gurgaon to Shimla and found that his new property which he suggested is no where to be found. After calling multiple times, one of the staff members showed up and took us to the property and gave a basement room since there was a short circuit in the top rooms. We were so pissed that we decided to move out and then they took us to the third property which was again in some hidden corner and had no balconies, no view …nothing. The owner stopped responding to my calls and I’d no option to stay except staying there. As soon as there was the sunrise, we looked for a better option and moved there and saved our trip. Worst experience of my life.

Quick and responsive staff and food was excellent in quality and taste and room size was large and very clean and comfortable.

My stay at The Ivory Pine was a very pleasant experience. The hotel staff was extremely friendly and very helpful to me. They picked me up at the bus stop and gave me a lot of useful information during my visit in Shimla.The Hotel is brand new, the rooms are absolute clean, well equiped and spacious. I had a room with balcony with a great view over the town. I would like to thank the management and the staff for the very nice stay.
