La Divina Bali

The villa was beautiful, pool was stunning and the bed was comfy. The attention to decor detail was second to none. The garden was beautiful and very private. Great communication via WhatsApp to organise a bike etc etc.

It was a bit of a drive via scooter to the main area of Uluwatu. The villa was in need of a deep deep clean, it was tidy just lacking a few areas. And stagnant water buildup caused lots of mosquitoes. There was definitely construction noises but it didn’t bother us too much!

Unfortunately, our stay at this villa was far from ideal, and several issues left us with a rather disappointing experience. The most significant problem was the bathroom, where the ceiling above the toilet was constantly leaking, leaving the floor around the sink area damp and uncomfortable to use. Additionally, the concrete surfaces appeared grimy with visible signs of mold, while the stones in the shower were coated with algae, clearly lacking proper maintenance. We immediately reported the leakage to the owners, who promised to consult with the architect. In the meantime, they offered complimentary meals at their adjacent hotel, which, while thoughtful, didn’t address the core issue. Unfortunately, we never received any follow-up regarding the roof repair, leaving us in limbo for the remainder of our stay. Although daily cleaning was arranged for 1 PM, the service fell short of basic expectations. Our hand soap and shampoo bottles were never refilled, and we were shocked to discover that one of the bottles was left open and exposed to insects and bacteria. Having to refill them ourselves further diminished the experience. To make matters worse, the pool jets were never activated during our stay, resulting in dirty, dusty water—especially concerning given the ongoing construction nearby. We had booked this villa with the intention of enjoying the pool and outdoor lounge area, but sadly, these amenities were unusable. On a positive note, we did enjoy the villa's charming decor and appreciated the convenient location. However, given the numerous issues we faced, we wouldn’t choose to stay here again.
