Eliana Resort And Spa

Friendly staff, great scenery, very good coffee, food better than most restaurants I've been to in Indonesia and very well priced. House keeping, grounds, pools ,1st class with very good management , organised activities excided are expectations with ample time to relax and enjoy the view. We have been to the Greek Islands , Vanuatu yet none as relaxing as this holiday. I believe if you need to wind down , relaxe, soak in the beautiful scenery without being hassled with staff that make you feel like Royalty " this is the place for you!

We love fishing, if a channel could be dredged out to the open sea and a boat on site to hire would make this place perfect but no complaints as with the big winds and bad weather we had and high management offering to get us a boat with a local fisherman we did manage a canoe trip around the mangroves in the sheltered waters.

Stayed here for 4 nights in total. Room was lovely and equipped with everything you need. We loved our room with a terrace. Everything was in great condition as the hotel is fairly new. Amazing infinity pool overlooking the sea. We enjoyed walking along the beach and exploring although the beach is very rocky so you need proper shoes. Hotel managers were nice and always open to have a chat. Miranda was lovely to speak to. Restaurant staff were nice too, especially Adrianos, Desi, Hermino. Although staff, apart from Adrianos, could have a bit more initiative or be a little more enthusiastic, but many of them are new to hospitality so I'm sure they'll get there! Eliana is the perfect place if you are looking to just slow down and relax! If you come to Rote, I would recommend adding a stop here!

Breakfast was a let down. They advertise diverse breakfast options on the website, including a variety of fresh fruits and the reality was that they only had a very poor selection of pastries and cereal and the a la carte menu wasn't great either and lacked ingredients stated on the menu. They even didn't have/offered any fresh fruit, I had to ask for it and they only had one choice. For a hotel of this category the breakfast was one of the worst we have ever had. They said some fruits were not in season, however, a different hotel was able to offer them. A sugary highly-processed breakfast is not how I wish to start my day! The pool was slippery as it had some kind of algae inside and on the pool stairs. The cushions from the pool chairs and towels were removed because of the rain but when it was sunny they forgot to put them back and we had to ask for them. Pool bar not opened. On the website they advertise all kind of activities during both the wet and dry season, however, they were only able to offer us boat trip in a lagoon, so there wasn't much to do and again, they shouldn't advertise things they can't offer as it's a bit misleading. To get to Rote you need to buy ferry tickets and the ferry app doesn't accept international payment methods. The hotel got them for us and I asked what the price would be beforehand but they didn't answer my question. When we received the invoice, we had been charged more than what the ferry tickets costed. I enquired about the extra charge and they just said "administration costs". It takes one minute to book the tickets and they get issued online so what costs? The other hotel we stayed in happily helped us get the return tickets and didn't charge us extra. Evreything was a bit overpriced at Eliana. Path were the beach is is dirty, full of cigarrette packets from the Eliana builders and they seat on the stairs in the evenings smoking.

Eliana Resort exceeded all my expectations. The stunning location offers breathtaking ocean views and a serene atmosphere. The luxurious rooms, great amenities, and exquisite dining made for an unforgettable stay. The staff's warm hospitality and attention to detail truly set this resort apart. Highly recommend! 10/10
