ALCOVA DEL MAR

Monolocale al centro di Alghero, piccolino ma ben ristrutturato, con tutto il necessario per trascorrere brevi soggiorni. Non ho utilizzato la cucina (2 piastre ad induzione) ma credo ci sia tutto il necessario per poterla sfruttare, ho utilizzato la macchinetta del caffè con le capsule lasciate dalla proprietà. Mi è stata utile la borsa frigo e le tavolette ghiaccio.

La porta di ingresso all'edificio e le scale sono un po' anguste, la porta del bagno non si poteva chiudere in quanto era rigonfia. Non particolarmente confortevole il letto soprattutto a causa del coprimaterasso molto rumoroso ad ogni movimento. Possibilità di parcheggio nei dintorni abbastanza difficile, si riesce a trovar posto anche su strisce bianche a circa 10 minuti a piedi.

Vicinanza al centro

Non c’è la possibilità di lasciare i bagagli prima e dopo check-in e check-out dovendo così affrontare ulteriori spese per i depositi bagagli. Il letto abbastanza scomodo.

In pieno centro, staff cordiale e disponibile, casa pulita e fornita di saponi e di tutto quello di cui potevamo aver bisogno!

We loved the location, right in the center of the old town. The instructions provided were great, and the place was clean.

The internet was turned off at midnight, so there was no Wi-Fi until check-out the next morning at 10:00 am.

The location is fantastic, right in the heart of the old town. There is a kettle and a fridge which is very good. You can park for free in the port. Stephania was excellent and always at the end of the phone if you needed. There is a clothes line outside the window which is great.

Well located

There is major construction going on in the house next door/below the apartment. That meant that from around 0750 every day we were there, there was constant loud banging (they are literally excavating the ceiling.) Right next to where your head is in bed. One of the days we were there it was torrentially raining and we couldn’t go back to the apartment because it was so, so loud and constant, non stop, until 5pm. When we told the host she said it wasn’t her problem. We escalated to booking and offered to check out a day early and book somewhere else but the host refused to refund us. It also smelt constantly of damp (which is why there’s an extractor fan in the bathroom that literally sounds like an airplane taking off that you have to keep on the whole time), there’s no sink in the kitchen so you have to use the bathroom sink for your drinking water which is right next to the toilet, the bed was uncomfortable, and the AC/heater was broken. One of the worst stays I’ve ever had, and I travel the world constantly.

The location was perfect, smack in the older part of Alghero and access to bars, restaurants, old boardwalk and more. The “tiny” house was well equipped and clean. Fun spot to stay for a few days. And…quiet. Big thanks to Stefania for some recommendations and directions.

It is like a tiny house, and similar stairs but great fun.
