The view

I did not know that it was an estate n the codes for going in n out took some getting used to

The view over the sea, especially for the sunrise.

Before arriving I had 6 seemingly automated messages providing various details. Directions are via a video which is a waste of time trying to memorise turns. Other accommodations within the community there have been added to Google maps so it's strange that this isn't. Upon arrival, I followed instructions and the key was not where it should have been. I contacted the number provided and only got voicemail. After finding the key, the flat had not been cleaned with towels on the floor, the bed not made and clearly having been slept in previously. After lugging up bags to get to my laptop to message the landlords, I eventually got a reply more than an hour after calling. They wanted to move me somewhere else which looked like a much worse view and no upgrade on the room so I declined. Instead of offering to drop clean linen for me, I was told that someone would be around in the morning to service the flat. They were apologetic but were persistent on making a gesture of food. No, I don't want the special of the day you offered for either night and I didn't want the chocolates dumped (no knock on the door) on my doorstep the day I checked out. When you're charging R375 for a cleaning fee and I don't get a clean room, have to clean the counters myself and have to wash your towels to have a clean towel in the morning, these token gestures are not going to cut it. After contacting Booking.com, they reached out to the landlord but they couldn't come to an agreement. In the end all I got was a 12.5% credit,  and no explanation on this from Booking.com. As for the flat, it is very hot. Being two floors up with few windows at the front, getting a through breeze is difficult. There is a fan in the bedroom but no Aircon. TV has a smart box but you'll need your own logins. No DSTV channels. Braai doesn't draw air very well so it gets smoky. Furnishing is OK, but not very high quality finishes. We're talking PEP side tables.

The view was out of the world!absolutely beautiful the sunset & sunrise are the best .Super Clean & neat.The Host was always communicating whenever one was in need of anything

The Tv & WiFi situation ruins the experience.Entertainment during a holiday is key .The way everything is so perfect one of the key factors during a holiday is definitely TV& WiFi .Needs to be attended too high standard place like that especially because the Telkom network is not the greatest which is honestly not their fault .Bigger TV is needed specifically Smart TV

I liked almost everything about Ocean Sunrise, the view and the comfort of the place.. The place is very safe and welcoming, close to the mall and it perfect

Safe complex.

No aircon, not enough towels for all guests, no tupper ware, waiting very long at gates for entry and exit.

Nicely decorated and great location. The view was also a stand out

There was pet hair on the couch, having allergies made it impossible to enjoy myself and lounge in the living room as it was making my allergies flare up. Stayed in the room the whole trip. The glasses in the apartment were very childish, wine glasses and normal glasses looked like it’s from an elementary school function. There was no body wash, shampoo, conditioner in the shower despite there being containers for them being in the shower, no washing powder.
