Novallure Downtown - Short Stay Apartments

Great location, amenities, there was sufficient amount of spendable products, very kind staff that was eager to accommodate me even hours before my check-in time.

NOTHING!!! We already requested for early check-in as we flew 13 hours to Amsterdam & train to The Hague. I was told that we could check-in at 2pm. When we arrived, the room was not done, messy & the mattress was disgusting!!! The cleaner came at 2.30pm after we called the owner. The cleaner said that the owner is managing 8 properties & they’re clearly short of manpower. We left after looking at the condition & booked another place, which cost us more money due to last minute booking as we supposed to stay for 4 nights!!! We asked for a refund & they said that we had to inform booking.com, so we called booking.com & booking.com said that the owner refused to give us a refund!!!! We’re still in dispute with the refund process & will escalate this matter to the relevant Dutch municipal public health and housing authorities for false pictures and lack of cleanliness & hygiene matters!!

The pictures in the posting are TOTALLY different from the actual condition of the room. We also read so many travelers complained about beg bugs, loud noise at night & serious cleanliness issues in this apartment. WE WANT OUR MONEY BACK!!!! If I can give ZERO rating, I would!!! Dishonest owner, give back my money!!!!

The staff have ready answers and are very helpful and friendly. Even though I didn't meet anyone in person, I always felt well looked after.

Given how the hotel operates, I understand why there is no way to store luggage before check-in or after check-out, but it would be very convenient.

Great location, nice big balcony in the back (great for fresh air and privacy, although there isn't much to look at). Good sofa, pillows, and kitchen amenities. Whole place has a nice design. Location is superb.

Issues with hygiene. Strong sewage smell when at the ground floor and then a strong smell of cheap perfume at the end of the stairwell. Bathroom drain was clogged, bathroom vent didn't work, no bathroom mat. The bed wasn't exactly the best with a very thin, dense mattress, but was doable. The headboard doesn't make sense; why a hard wood board when there is cushioned panelling behind? Also, it was annoying to need a phone to enter the building and room; I know hotels where there are automated numerical codes.

De locatie is heel fijn. Midden in het centrum dus alles vlakbij. Appartement is van alle gemakken voorzien. Ook was er op deze kamer, nummer 6 een balkon.

De tv kreeg ik niet aan, ook niet na er nieuwe batterijen ingedaan te hebben. Dat was wel jammer aangezien ik alleen reisde. Maar niet onoverkomelijk. En het douchewater liep niet goed weg waardoor alles nat werd. Ook dit zou makkelijk te verhelpen zijn dus doet niet af aan deze fijne locatie.
