This house is a real find and I would greatly recommend it to someone who is traveling to Madeira, especially a family or group. The house is on a hillside outside of Funchal with sweeping views of the city and the ocean. The house has a very nice kitchen and a washing machine. You'll need to hang your clothes to dry them, but they dry quickly in the sun room. The house is very quiet. If you need help using the stove, take a picture of it and ask Claude how to use it.

This is not a criticism but you will need a car if you stay in the house just as you will to get anywhere on Madeira. Driving is very challenging on Madeira, so prepare yourself for this. Getting in and out of this driveway is a little tight. You would drive up the road and then make a right turn into the driveway. I found that it's easier if you drive past the house, turn around in the lot just after the house, then drive down to the house and make a left turn into the driveway.

Very large and specious. Kitchen fully equipped. Owner polite and nice.

House very cold at beginning of May. Small electric heating insuffient cos rooms are very high. Windows in large veranda don't close properly so that rain and storm is pressed inside. Drive-in to parking place very tricky .

The location was perfect, view was incredible, all the amenities and facilities you could need, it was a very pleasant stay ☺️ I would definitely like to book again in the future

The view from this place is absolutely incredible! Everything was spotlessly clean, the room was super comfy, and the shared spaces had everything you need. The secure parking space inside the electric gates was fab also.
