Japanese Guesthouse Kinosaki Wakayo (Female Only)

Staff wiped the wheels of our suitcases when we arrived. They carried them to upstairs for us. Nice view of Japanese style garden from our room. Their baskets for carrying stuff for public bath hopping were cute. They upgraded our room for 4 people capacity.

They offered geta sandals for hopping town but only one size which was too small. They didn’t allow dropping off luggage before checking in time which was 3pm.

The room was so cute and comfy and the ryokan owner is extremely helpful and friendly!

女性専用を徹底していること。小さな隠れ家的な宿で落ち着いていること。路地を出ると賑やかな通りなのに、宿は静か。スタッフ(オーナーさん？)が数日前に確認の電話をくださり、宿のシステムを説明してくださるので、事前に様子がわかること。

駐車場がなく、城崎温泉は駐車場が少ないので、空きを探すのに苦労しました。道が細いうえ、観光客が多く歩いているので、通るのが大変でした。

It was so close to all of the 7 Onsen and the girls are sooo nice

Close to all onsen and train stations, everything is within walking distance. The two staff members are friendly and make you feel really welcome and comfortable. I feel like I'm not the guest, when I enter at ryoukan I feel like I came back to my hometown even if it's my first time to go to that place.

I really enjoyed the staff. And the location was great!

It’s an old building so it was a bit cold for me.

Le proprietarie carinissime, parlavano pochissimo inglese ma sono state super disponibili e si erano prese la briga di ricordare il nome di tutte le loro ospiti. La camera molto carina, futon comodo e con pompa di calore fondamentale in inverno. Molto bello anche il set Yukata, giacchetto, cestino e geta per andare in giro per il paese e agli onsen.

Bagno molto freddo, soprattutto la zona wc, ogni volta un trauma. A parte quello per l’onsen non offrono altri asciugamani, a meno che non vogliate noleggiarlo, quindi meglio portarsene uno (cosa che avrei voluto sapere prima di partire). Purtroppo il fatto di non offrire pasti è sicuramente il punto più grosso a suo sfavore in quanto non ti rendi veramente conto di quanto sia fondamentale alloggiare in una struttura che offre colazione e cena fino a che non sei a Kinosaki Onsen: bar/caffè aprono non prima delle 9/10 e ristoranti chiudono alle 17, ma molti anche prima per il forte afflusso e tutto quello che resta sono 2 konbini e poco altro. Sicuramente è una soluzione molto economica per chi viaggia sola come me, ma se dovessi tornare a Kinosaki con qualcuno sceglierei sicuramente una struttura con servizi completi.
