The Kanka Beach House

Perfectly located to get started on penida, it's right opposite the ferry arrivals. Great to use as an arrival base with excellent sized, clean rooms, Aircon and indoor bathroom! Nearby is a resort bar and pool. In the other direction 100m and many restaurants, shops, clinic and pharmacy. Ayuk was great to help with organising snorkeling and ferry tickets. She even walked us to the office to make sure we caught our ferry 🙂

You've still got to run the gauntlet of hawkers as you get off the ferry. The facilities are limited to great accomodation which was ideal for us

The staff was lovely! Helpful with information, always reachable. It was possible to rent scooter at the property, which was super useful. Room was already cooled down when we arrived for check in :)

Was no picture with bathroom, so we didn’t know what to expect. Would suggest some shelfs in the bathroom, otherwise nowhere to put toiletries. Towels looked dirty, with some spots, which was not very pleasant.

Very close to the dock making it easy to walk to after hoping off the ferry. Staff can help organise activities also which was helpful.

No fridge. Roosters next door waking you up at 4am. Only 1 power point in the room and it's not near the bed, it was under the TV.
