The Victory at Mersea

Quiet clean room great location dog friendly . Lovely staff .

Friendly and helpful staff, great location and well equipped room

The room was well equipped, beds were very comfortable, everything was very clean. The staff were friendly and welcoming at both check in and out. Mersea Island is a beautiful place to visit and this is very well situated for anyone wanting to explore.

I think this was on the pricier side for a nightly rate compared to similar places we have stayed. Shower pressure was slightly disappointing, but the water was a good temperature and it was easy to use.

The room was full of spiders, 8 in total although most were quite small. Cobwebs and dust everywhere, in particular under the bed, between the headboard and the wall, behind the TV and around the ceiling edges. The carpet is stained and dirty. A dog in the next room which barked between 11 and 11:30 as we were trying to go to sleep.

Staff were so helpful and accommodating

The location was brilliant

Very noisy in the bar and restaurant and service was very slow

Staff exceptionally friendly. Breakfast excellent and evening meal very good.

Closes at 9pm on a Saturday.
