Gorgeous homestay walking distance to everything. Clean, quiet, wonderful view from the roof top terrace and loved the eclectic decor. Ample breakfast of local produce. A lovely stay.

No suggestions - exactly as communicated in the advertising. Great value

The family have been running it for over 25 yrs. It is authentic. The location is amazing. And the breakfast is really good. I wish mama was still there making her meze dinners which were epic.

I feel like the rooftop could get some love and attention. And cushions could be put out in evening to go up for a drink. One can see the last remaining pillar of the Temple of Artemis from up there.

Homeros was an adorable family run hotel. The decorations were very turkish to me, which added to the ambiance. The breakfast in the morning was amazing and plentiful, even though it was a simple breakfast of eggs, bread, jams, and fruit, so a standard Turkish breakfast, but presentation was beautiful and everything was fresh and delicious. The beds were comfy, and the room had a personal air conditioner, which was super appreciated as it was in the upper 90's! The bathroom in our room was small which made things a little akward at times, but it was perfectly serviceable. Overall, we loved our stay here, and would highly recomend it to anyone looking for a non-fussy hotel with an old turkish feel to it.

"Very good value for money - perfectly suited our needs."

The hostess was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our healthy traditional breakfasts very much, the hostess allowed us to have breakfast early one day to ensure we were at the historic site in Efes at the 8am opening of the gates. Loved the eclectic design of the room & hotel. Location superb for museum, easy walk to train station & market, and historic sites.

The hotel only accepts cash. Generally we prefer to pay by card. Booking.com's app unfortunately doesn't highlight the fact that this is a cash-only hotel. This is a design fault in booking.com's app.

"Good location for a short stay"

8.0

The location was fantastic - near the town centre and bus station/train stop as well as the in-town attractions like the museum and the castle and basilica, but on a quiet street. There is a Sok supermarket nearby where one can buy bottled water and other necessities. The catch however is that one has to walk up a steep slope to get to the pansiyon - best to have backpacks rather than heavy wheeled luggage. The room and toilet/bathroom were clean enough, and the shower had good pressure and hot water. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was very decent; coffee seemed to be brewed rather than Nescafe! Excellent views from the terrace which has tables and benches for chilling out.

The room (3 beds) had no space for the two of us to open up our big suitcases. Some of our room windows faced the common sitting area and could not be locked, so we made sure to bring all our important belongings out with us. The common sitting area felt dusty. The stairs were also a bit tight and we had some trouble manoeuvring our suitcases up and down the stairs. The toilet/bathroom could do with hooks for towels and clothes. Black-out curtains and a mini fridge would have been great too. We were aware from other reviews that the room did not have tea and coffee-making facilities (i.e. an electric kettle), but it would have been good if a common hot water facility could have been provided at the breakfast area.

Lovely small hotel (5 or 6 rooms, maybe?), I assume it used to be a house, and it was converted into a hotel. The decor of the rooms is very traditional, makes you feel you're visiting Turkey 100 years ago! Yet everything is super clean and taken care of. The bed was firm but comfortable, and the wifi worked great! The hotel is located in the old part of town, with its tight cobbled streets, old houses and mosques, very quiet (woke up to the sound of birds) and very quiant. Feels like you're staying in a small village while you're there. The hotel is, however, only a 5 or 6 minute walk to the busier, main part of town with all the shops, bars, stores, and restaurants. It was a 10 minute walk from the train station so it's very convenient; the museum and the bus stations are very close too. The view from the terrace is lovely too! Breakfast is included, I had a boiled egg, salad, bread, cheese, and tea. It's plenty and more than enough to get your day started ! I paid 200 liras to get to Ephesus in taxi (may 2024, prices change quickly due to inflation).

I did not have hot water in the morning, unfortunately. I had hot water in the previous afternoon however, not sure what happened. No credit card is accepted, so don't forget to have cash with you to pay for the stay. There are plenty of atm's just a couple of minutes from the hotel so it's not a big problem.
