Boutique by Sa

Echt een super mooi verblijf, met enorm aardige gastheren. De kamer is groot, goed schoongemaakt en van alle gemakken voorzien.

Helaas hadden wij redelijk wat (geluids)overlast van de honden in de buurt… Daarnaast zaten er in de badkamer af en toe wat insecten, kikkers en hagedissen.

La habitación es impresionante. Zona muy tranquila. Anfitriones muy amables. Desayuno completísimo.

Nos gustó todo. Quizá para cenar, hay que andar un poco...

This is a wonderful house and we truly loved our stay! It is so luxurious and the host is extremely friendly and helpful. An ideal place to relax and wind down after a day’s travelling or visiting Anuradhapura. The pool is very welcome… and the food was not only delicious, but we were treated to a variety of Sri Lankan specialties - sometimes with an international twist - and explanations as to how the food was cooked. Strongly recommend booking this if there is availability!

Nous confirmons tous les commentaires élogieux qui auraient dû déboucher logiquement sur la note maximale : accueil irréprochable, propreté plus que parfaite, chambre tellement spacieuse, literie impeccable, piscine privée certes petite mais tellement agréable qu'il faut vraiment en profiter, petit déjeuner copieux et service impeccable. Résidence en journée très calme mais ... vient la nuit !! ...

Je confirme l'unique avis à ce jour (?!!) mentionnant en mai 2025 le très gros problème que nous avons rencontré et que je me dois de signaler malgré la perfection réelle du lieu d'hébergement. Nous avons été systématiquement réveillés à plusieurs reprises lors de nos 3 nuits par des aboiements, des hurlements, des bruits d'affrontements des chiens du voisin, juste en dessous. J'ai bien lu que le propriétaire faisait le nécessaire depuis mai 2025 et j'espère qu'il trouvera une solution tant il le mérite. Mais à ce jour, le problème est trop conséquent pour qu'il soit passé sous silence.

Heel mooi verblijf waar je je enorm welkom voelt. De gastheer is supervriendelijk en doet er ALLES aan om het je naar je zin te maken. Bovendien is hij ook erg goed voor zijn personeel wat wij heel belangrijk vinden. Over de staff gesproken: wat zijn zij lief, behulpzaam en vriendelijk! Zowel het ontbijt als avondeten (optioneel) zijn erg overvloedig en lekker!

Helemaal niets!

Een prachtige plek om te verblijven. Ik ben best kritisch als het om hotels gaat, maar Boutique by Sa verdient zonder twijfel een 10. De eigenaar is van beroep een zorgprofessioneel en dat merk je: hygiëne en comfort staan hier duidelijk hoog in het vaandel. De twee heren die de gasten ontvangen en het ontbijt klaarmaken zijn oprecht vriendelijk en respectvol. Ook het transport dat wij via Boutique by Sa hebben geregeld, was betrouwbaar en werd aangeboden tegen een zeer redelijk tarief. Een echte aanrader!

The property is wonderful and so are the hosts. The property is also very clean. The food was very nice, varied, and the location was perfect.

For us this property it is not a 10 out of 10 as we unfortunately didn’t sleep well. This had nothing to do with the host’s efforts. However, its neighbours welcome many stray dogs at night who woke us up as much as 5 times each night, howling, barking, fighting,… even with earplugs you could not sleep through the night.

Our time at Boutique by Sa was simply unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, we felt like we were in our own private paradise — the entire house is yours to enjoy, offering both comfort and privacy in a beautifully designed setting. What truly made the experience exceptional was the personal attention we received. Lasantha, the in-house cook, is an absolute treasure. He introduced us to the rich world of Sri Lankan cuisine, preparing dish after dish of local specialties with incredible skill and love — it was like a culinary journey every day. His passion for cooking is truly inspiring and made each meal a highlight of our stay. Equally wonderful was Mr. Da Silva, the owner of this amazing place, who welcomed us with warmth and shared countless insider tips about what to see and do in Anuradhapura and the surrounding area. Thanks to him, we discovered places and experiences we would’ve otherwise missed. We were 100% satisfied with our stay and would recommend Boutique by Sa without hesitation. If you’re looking for a place that feels like home — only better — this is it !
