Pope Lodge Cosy Stone Coach House in Alnmouth

Amazing Location & a fantastic place. Our second time here and we were ever so pleased. The Tv is a great size, the bathroom is lovely nice hot water. Comfy bed as well.

If I was to be very picky: A few of the lights needed new bulbs but this did not hamper our stay at all. The fire doesn’t work and hasn’t both times we have stayed, it would be great if a new one was fitted or a log burner especially for the winter months. For us this would be the icing on the cake for the property. There were a few cobwebs on the ceiling but not very noticeable. The tap was leaking ever so slightly, but this had been addressed by the housekeepers.

Beautifully furnished stone house conversion. Extremely comfortable with everything you would need for your stay. Really feels like home as soon as you arrive. We only cooked breakfasts and prepared packed lunches but there was everything you needed to cook evening meals if you want to. We ate out at The Hope and Anchor (just across the road) which was excellent. Beautiful setting for the property in Alnmouth. A perfect base to explore Holy Island, Bamburgh and many other lovely places. Train station is only 5 mins drive away so we took a trip to Edinburgh for the day. Nina was very helpful and friendly. We will definitely be staying in Pope Lodge again.

We cannot think of anything we didn’t like.

Perfect accomodation in a stunning location. Attractive furnishings, well fitted kitchen, great lighting, books, games, thick towels, and bathrobes. There is onsite parking and the shops, cafes and pubs are on the doorstep, but it is an extremely quiet and private property that even has an outdoor garden area to enjoy. So much attention to detail to ensure that you have everything needed, and more. Much more on offer here than most other places I have stayed during my travels. It exceeded my expectations and I will definitely be returning.

There was nothing that could have been done better. So much thought has gone into making this apartment a wonderful place to stay.
