Spacious house Good location

Very poor communication with host. Finally got in touch before arrival and he said he wasn't expecting us. House wasn't cleaned from previous people. Had to buy towels and bed sheets. Said he would refund but never did. The plugs in kitchen weren't working so had to boil kettle and use toaster elsewhere. Lovely house but if you aren't able to communicate you shouldn't have it on booking.com.

Had arranged to arrive at 3pm but had to chase host after 3 for check in details.

The house was a good size with a lovely garden. Very clean, tv with Netflix etc, and big kitchen with modern fridge freezer. The location is excellent, plenty of shops and a park nearby, parking easy (although there was a car parked on the drive all through our stay so we had to leave one of our cars on the road). The ceiling fans were wonderful 😀.

Some suggestions to improve: We had to contact the owner to find out how to get in as there were no instructions with the booking confirmation. There were no basic cooking utensils or serving dishes, (e.g spatula, grater, potato masher, scissors, fish slice), and insufficient crockery (only 4 side plates). Some instructions for the property would have been helpful e.g appliances, rubbish/recycling, local facilities etc.
