Cave View Cottages - Silo cottage

We had a lovely stay this weekend. A big thank you to our wonderful hostess Phindile for the warm hospitality and kindness. The accommodation was clean, peaceful, and very comfortable. We truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it!

If you’re looking for a quick escape close to Joburg, this spot is perfect. We stayed in the silo unit, which had everything we needed and gave us just the right amount of privacy. The facilities were great, and our kids had the best time with the pools, pool table, trampoline, and all the open space to run around. What really stood out, though, was the people. Sharon, the host, checked in with us every day to make sure we were comfortable, and Phindile, who’s onsite, was always around to help with anything we needed—super quick and always with a smile. They honestly made us feel so welcome, like nothing was ever too much trouble. The little onsite shop was also a nice touch—handy for grabbing things without having to leave the property. All in all, it felt like a relaxed getaway with staff who genuinely care about making your stay enjoyable.

From the moment we arrived, Ausi Phindile welcomed us with a radiant smile and genuine warmth that instantly made us feel at home. Her hospitality was exceptional—kind, attentive, and full of heart. It’s rare to find someone who creates such a comforting and inviting atmosphere, and Ausi Phindile did just that. The space was cozy and well-kept, but it was her presence that truly made the experience memorable. I would absolutely recommend this B&B to anyone looking for a peaceful and welcoming place to stay. One thing to note is that the rooms were quite cold inside. While we were provided with extra blankets—which helped a lot—it would be great if the owners could consider adding gas heaters or another quick heating solution, especially for guests with infants or small children. We had to layer our baby with multiple blankets to keep him warm. Overall, the experience was lovely, and with a few improvements, it could be even better. Thank you again for the hospitality!
