The Whitstable, Tankerton Bolt Hole - Double Room & Ensuite

A comfortable, clean and convenient overnight stay in a small en-suite room. Everything one could need for a one night stay. Thoughtful finishing touches like the drink and biscuit selection.

There were a couple of minor improvements, I felt. The shower head needs descaling as the water shoots everywhere! The main light is way too bright and cool. A personal preference would be white pure cotton bedding with a navy bed spread (I get the navy/white decor) as opposed to navy poly/cotton bedding… but this is my choice!

It was cosy and well equipped.

The location was very good a little out of town but close to the beach as advertised. We were particularly happy with the tea and coffee facilities which also provided oat milk and herbal teas. The room was well appointed and had everything we needed. I thought the guest book was a nice addition and is very telling of the owners obvious care and attention to detail. We would definitely stay again.

it would be great if they could provide something other than plastic bottles of water. I do realise of course that providing bottles which aren't single use plastic is an going issue for a lot of hotels and accommodation.

The owners were very accommodating of our needs which was much appreciated. We were attending a funeral and needed to park nearby before check in hours. They kindly allowed us to use the driveway and check in early which greatly reduced the stress on a very sad day. Thank you so much!
