Bergamo Alta - Funicolare Apartment

Charming apartment in a central location, easy to find, well-appointed and really nicely decorated. A great combination of stylish décor in an old building. The rooftop views from the attic added to the whole experience as did the bells from the nearby churches - a plus during the day, but not so much at 07h30 in the morning. Overall, very clean and comfortable - we would definitely return. Also, a handy luggage storage facility and small Carrefour supermarket further up the street.

Many flights of stairs up - but we knew that in advance so not a problem. No reply to a request for a later checkout - strictly 10h00 - and the cleaner arrived at 09h45.

Exceeded our expectations. Everything we needed for a family weekend and perfect location too. Nice and clean and comfortable. Excellent communication with host. Would recommend.

Not a dislike, just a good to know: There are LOTS of stairs to get up to the apartment and no lift. This was fine for us as we were travelling light with backpacks, but bigger luggage or pushchairs would be very difficult to carry up.

Very nice roomy location, in the middle of the old town, yet very quiet and cosy. The apartment is on the top floor of an old house, you have to climb many stairs, but that was fine for us. We enjoyed our stay very much.
