Woodland View at Hewish Mill

Everything was excellent, from booking arrangements onwards. On this occasion we wanted a pet-friendly property, and there was no sign of previous animals as the place was spotlessly clean and tidy. The accommodation was well sized for our group, and the owners had thought about everything: the kitchen was very well equipped and the house was tastefully and pleasantly furnished. The hosts were very helpful and friendly, but unobtrusive. Lovely surroundings, with a nearby field for walking dogs. A light and comfortable sitting room, with outside table and chairs too. We had the bonus of lovely sunset views from the terrace. Just what we wanted for our short stay in the area. We had no negative experiences, but guests might like to be aware that the access from the main road is easier coming from the Barnstable side than the other. Neighbouring properties are close, as shown in the details, so some awareness of neighbours might be expected, but the garden also had privacy fencing by the terrace, so it wasn't an issue for us.

Charming cottage, everything we needed was provided. Plenty of parking, very quiet, very clean and friendly hosts.

Lovely quiet relaxing retreat, beautifully appointed in the countryside with beaches 15mins drive. The setting was excellent for dog owners with private paddock to exercise.

The double bed was creaky so disturbed sleep.

The accommodation was very well presented and really well equipped with everything you could need for self catering. Beautiful location that was very quiet and our dog loved the garden.

The single bed mattresses are a little tired and not great for adult support but absolutely fine for a child.

The photos don’t do this property justice. Pretty little cottage. Off the beaten track and very private with lovely countryside views. Well equipped kitchen and very comfortable lounge.

The twin beds were uncomfortable but the double bed was fine.
