Wold Escapes, Highfield Farm

The set up of cookery school with accommodation all done to a high standard. Great room , spacious with all you might need. Very comfy bed .

No restaurant in easy walking distance but we bought fish and chips locally and had them using the cutlery and crockery provided by Wolds escapes so it is the most minor of issues. No problem at all if you're not on bikes and cycling the coast to coast as we were.

This is the place we stay when we visit Tophill Low. We have stayed there before and will do so again.

The rebranding. It confused us. We were used to it appearing as a cookery school rather than an escape.

The breakfast was excellent, fresh cooked local produce and all the extras you'd hope for - fresh fruit salad, range of cereals, toast etc. The location was peaceful and close to a few amenities, although a car would be essential, the room was lovely

Very welcoming. Secure cycle storage. Clean, comfortable with great breakfast. Ideal for cyclists on Way of Roses.

No evening meals out of season but Driffield and Beverley are easily reached by car, bus or taxi
