Apartment by the lake

We could tell the hosts have put care and attention into updating this apartment, as it is in an older building. The proximity of the location to the red line and to the lake was great. Host directions were precise and helpful. Parking on the street was relatively easy.

Unfortunately, our stay was really negatively impacted by the persistent smokey/marijuana smell that permeated not only the entrance to the building, but the entire apartment. Due to the age of the apartment, it seems the marijuana smell may have been coming through the ventilation system but regardless, it really kept us from wanting to spend time in the apartment. This concern was related to the hosts (but no direct response was received). We also did not have hot water the first night, but this was remedied by the next day.
