The Blue House

We loved the location and the owner- we didn’t spend one night( out of the 3 reserved) there so the owner called because he was worried about us- that was soooo sweet - the place needs a facelift but then again so does 98% of hotels and rooms in Loutro- one should expect “funk” and if your key doesn’t work ( ours didn’t ) no one is going to rip you off ( and the safe worked) it’s only assessable by boat and everyone there knows everyone - the views and location are spectacular it’s just not the Ritz - call it quaint -

No hot water ( the roof top water tanks work with the weather ) unless it’s middle of the day - owner said - “ who needs hot water when it’s so hot outside..” it was cute the way he said it- the air conditioner and door locks were not functioning but he said - it’s on the list of things he has to take care of- again charming and sweet …. Just being honest - anyway we were so happy with location we let it slide - as long as you are prepared for that it’s worth the trip !

Very clean, fantastic view, great facilities. The breakfast which was included was ample but we chose to have some evening meals here some nights which were lovely too. Staff were polite and friendly.

Great people, the AC works great, the view is beautiful.

Room was on the last floor, spacious, squeaky-clean, with a big balcony and a postcard-like view of the town and the whole bay. Staff was extremely nice, welcoming and easygoing. Tasty and bountiful breakfast, I definitely recommend the hotel restaurant for every meal. Any kind of activity you might want to try at a walking distance. You truly cannot ask for more. Strongly recommended!
