The Cozy Yellow Cottage in Dilworth

What a lovely little garden cottage! I had an appointment at Atrium Hospital so was looking for a close, walkable option to avoid stress of navigating a city I am no longer familiar with. It is a very short walk to Atrium (and yet no ambulance noise in the cottage!), about 3/10 of a mile, so much quicker than driving if you want to be near the hospital. Can't say enough about Dilworth! Lovely, quiet, old neighborhood. Perfect for walking, the four-legged 'kid' loved it, and a complex with grocery and multiple restaurants is literally a short block away. Downtown Charlotte is also very accessible. Really the best of both worlds especially if you want to park your car and forget it. Great hosts (along with their 'concierge' Michael :-) ), great spot, highly recommended for single traveler who wants to be close to everything but also have safety and quiet.

Street parking was a challenge at times. Street out front was terrible and dangerous to park… too much traffic and cars go way over speed limit.
