It was new and clean

At our arrival the owner informed us that our apartment has technical problems and we can’t stay there. We were offered one place in 28min driving from the original reservation and another one much closer but for additional pay “because it was bigger”. It was late evening when we had that conversation with the owner and we had no other options as to agree to stay at offered place in 28 min driving from the original location. The owner promised to let us to move to the original reservation “as soon as it will be repaired” but it never happened. The new apartment was comfortable and clean but there was no heat (October 15th in northern England) and no hot water on. The heating system was shut off. No password for WiFi. We were trying to reach the owner for help but with no success. I found the heater and after spending an hour on google searching for the manual I was able to start it by myself. The apartment had no any notes or explanation how to regulate the temperature and no any other information about the apartment. There was no additional supplies for toilet paper, no paper towels. It had only 2 cooking dishes : one frying pan and one rusty pot with no lids. WiFi was very slow and not efficient. The owner usually stop responding on our questions after 7-8pm. She/he has never apologised and has never introduced her/himself by name. As a result we spent additional 9 hours driving during 6 days of our stay to reach the place we needed in the beginning. This why we rented specifically exact location.
