Very friendly caretaker

Unfortunately the house was not ready for check-in as indicated on the listing. However the house caretaker worked quickly to finish the turn-over and she was super friendly.

We loved the house and it had most things that we needed.

We felt very uncomfortable during our stay as a woman kept entering the property without any notice or permission. This was a serious invasion of privacy and completely unacceptable when paying for accommodation. Additionally, after we checked out, the host sent me a WhatsApp message requesting extra money for “dirty towels.” This is highly unprofessional and concerning. Cleaning fees are included in the booking cost, and if there were any additional charges or a damage deposit, that should have been clearly communicated upfront. The overall experience felt unsafe and untrustworthy.

The home smelt lovely, every area and every bit of linen was fresh and great. The home has everything one could possibly need for a self catering stay. The undercover braai area is perfect for winter weather. The coffee and tea amenities were great. The location is ideal for Paarl, the vineyards and quick access to the N1 and close to stores for anything you might need.

On arrival there was a neighbor who I assume is like a host or caretaker. She informed us she needed to let someone into the property to fix the alarm... it was a bit odd and socially awkward as she came in the home and made small talk throughout. The garage is a bit tight for a full size sedan, we needed to park at an angle to have the car fit. The water pressure in the main bedroom is very low and the wifi kept going off and on.
