Casa de Madera

The property is beautiful and super clean, made with taste and love. The space is ideal for two persons, but gets a bit tight with 3 (especially if the 3rd is a toddler who needs to sleep in the same room, instead of the couch downstairs). The house is conveniently located close to both Kaloskopi and Pavliani, and the surroundings are just stunning. A place to experience calmness and peace and the amazing nature around. We had frequent wild horses visits around the house. Our host was extremely fast in communication, very friendly and helpful. He was not there on arrival and for a couple of days, but that wasn’t a problem, as we could instantly reach him online.

The electric heating -if you don’t use the fireplace- is a bit loud (for the night and it starts a bit by itself if not completely disabled), and it warms up the downstairs nicely, but makes the upstairs too hot. The website pictures of the property showed a lot more diverse foods available in the house pantry/fridge. But there were only some basic (non-refrigerated) items available for breakfast. This was a wrong expectation on our side, based on the images, that we never confirmed, but it’s good to know, as there are no nearby shops available on all week days (e.g., for milk or yogurt).

Must visit for all nature lovers!!!!! The place is located in a quiet and peaceful area surrounded by stunning nature, yet a short drive to all villages around and to oiti refuge. The house was clean and comfortable and the kitchen fully equipped. All you need to prepare a nice breakfast was provided. It is also quite spacious outside which makes it ideal to relax especially if you have young children! The owner was super helpful with tips for the area, what to visit, where to eat etc. We will certainly return :)
