Summer’s Lodge

The caravan was exactly home from home. It felt so cosy and comfortable. The host left us a lovely welcoming pack and a bottle of bubbly, which was a lovely gesture.

The directions to the lodge provided by the host were easy to follow and we found the lodge quickly. The park the lodge is on is clean and easy to find with sat nav or nearby signage. We were given clear check-in instructions which meant we gained access promptly and with no issues. The lodge itself was beautifully clean and well furnished. The sofa bed was the comfiest we have ever found. The hot tub was modern, really clean and so warm! It felt very nice and private too. Plenty of towels were provided both in the bedrooms for use in the bathroom, and by the door that led out to the hot tub for use out there. We were left some tea, hot chocolate and coffee and milk and the fact that there was ice already in the freezer was an ingenious touch. We were also left a bottle of prosecco which was lovely. The TV was well equipped with features such as netflix, iPlayer etc. although a log in was required for some. The WiFi was easy to access and worked very well. A list of food delivery services were provided which is always useful. The heating was easy to use with the instructions provided and the place warmed up quickly. The dishwasher was also quite intuitive to use and plenty of dishwasher tablets were provided. The cooker was also easy to use and was large enough to cook for a full family. The lodge is in a good location, with just a short drive to Alnwick where we spent the day at the gardens and in the local town. We will definitely return here. A lovely quiet relaxed accomodation for a weekend away.

The beds in the twin were a bit rickety/wobbly and only had one quite thin pillow each. We weren't provided with much toilet roll so that ran out the first day we were there. We couldn't find any tea towels. Other than that we have no complaints!

This is our second stay at Summers Lodge and we love everything about this property ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Good parking space, nice outdoor area. Nicely decorated.

Kitchen could do with more appliances, salad box, champagne flutes, matching dinner service etc.
