Luxury garden apartment under the Castle, Dover

Great location for visiting the castle (a must do) and Dover town centre. A lot of history reflected in the property location being on a crescent of 26 and with the property itself. Big, spacious, airy rooms (ceilings close to 20ft high), the property has been tastefully updated and modernised. Great views over the town and the harbour. Parking permit obtained for the street parking outside the front door. Super host readily contactable.

The large property, of which this is one apartment, was undergoing some refurbishment so there was some building noise but it was not at anti social hours or loud enough to bother us at all. It did not affect our enjoyment of the property.

The high ceilings and the clean lines were beautiful. The furniture was comfortable and very functional. The kitchen had a lot of extra bits that he left which made it useful, so we didn’t have to rush out and buy anything.

The bed in the main room. The one with the bath, was quite firm compared to the second bedroom. But I’m guessing that’s probably more subjective.

Die Schlafzimmer liegen weit auseinander, so dass man sich nicht stört wenn man zu viert da ist. Das Castle ist fußläufig erreichbar und man kann schöne Wanderungen entlang der Klippen machen. Für das Auto gibt es tägliche Parkausweise. Rundum sorglos Paket.

Es hätte ein kleines bisschen sauberer sein können. Aber nichts, was man nicht mit einer Spülmaschine hätte lösen können.

The apartment was stunning.Two shower rooms was very convenient..Really comfortable beds.Beautiful views.Within a 10 minute walk of shops and restaurants. Easy parking.Only a 5 minute drive to the castle.

There was nothing we didn't like.We have stayed in many places ,this was definitely the best.

Location was secluded along a dark corner below Dover Castle. The road leading to apartment was dark and muddy. We couldn’t locate the reception desk, nor talk to anyone. From the outside, the place looks rundown. We have no faith in the property. We left to look for better accommodation.

No staff was there to help us. Property is secluded and difficult to locate. In no way looks like a luxury apartment. Very disappointed.

Spectacular!! The photographs just do not do the apartment justice, so so luxurious with all you could wish for and more, Steven the host went above and beyond to make us welcome and at home and to be honest we didn’t fell worthy of such a stunning stay.. totally amazing and thank you 🙏🏼 we will be back!!

Everything was beautiful No complaints

We were on a walking trip of the Saxon Shore Way, and we had walked from Sandwich to Dover so we were looking forward to a hot shower. The host arranged for someone to bring the keys when we arrived and they arrived around 2 mins after we did. This apartment is STUNNING. Ultra high ceilings and the very best facilities (this was my 1st experience of a Bluetooth mirror in the bathroom). Furnishings were of the absolute highest quality, and the fridge even contained a bottle of chilled prosecco, milk, orange juice, etc. The attention to detail here is just superb and the standards of cleanliness were the very highest. Yes it was a little more expensive than other options in Dover, but this would be like comparing a second hand Ford Escort to a BMW 7 Series. Worth every penny. If you are staying in Dover for a few nights, do yourself a favour and spend a night or 3 here, it is wonderful. Thank you.

Maybe if there was a personal liveried butler to cook our breakfast and do all the washing up afterwards? Apart from that I can't think of anything to improve this place.

Absolutely stunning and beautiful place. The hosts were amazing - they both could not go above and beyond more than what they did. Trust grateful for them making our stay even better.
