Il Nido

Beautiful renovated apartment with lots of lovely details. Caterina was an amazing host and even offered to wash our clothing because the washing machine wasn’t working. She also brought us breakfast because we left early the next morning and nothing would have been open!

Thank you for this amazing stay at the appartment! It is situated in the center of the village, right under a small bar, where we ate breakfast with a voucher we received from the owner, and a two minute walk from the excellent restaurant la roma! The appartment is decorated with vintage furniture that the owner sources and collects herself, has a nice kitchen and a big shower with a waterfall feature. The bathroom is covered in iridescent tiles that shimmer! It looks newly renovated and appliances such as a hairdryer and towels are there. I would highly recommend you to stay in this appartment!

Caterina our host was one of the friendliest and accommodating hosts I’ve ever had. Lovely room, shower and great location.

Location was perfect, right in the center of town. Our host was very accommodating and offers to have someone come wash our clothes as the washing machine was not working.The space was very nice and clean with a great shower. Liked that they had shampoo and shower gel in shower.

The bed was not that comfortable- we feel the place needs - It was not very comfortable. Also it’s was a bit disappointing that the washing g machine was broken but as I mentioned above th host offeees to have someone do our laundry - which we declined. But still very nice of them.

The owner made all efforts to make us feel good, took us even to a photo spot! The apartment beautifully decorated with all amenities. There are 3 steep stairs to get to the apartment. After 23 kilometers walk on via Francigena I felt them!

We loved everything about this stay. The apartment was charming, roomy, clean and comfortable. I think it will be our favorite stop on the Via Francigena!

Il Nido was absolutely beautiful! The apartment was large, stylishly decorated, and well appointed with everything required (full kitchen, washing machine, etc). The bed was super comfortable and it was lovely and quiet. Our host Caterina and her husband were incredibly kind and helpful. We arrived after having hiked 5 hours on the VF in the pouring rain (looking like drowned rats) and they were so gracious in welcoming us to their accommodation. I absolutely recommend Il Nido - my only regret is that I didn’t stay longer.

Location and host !

My friend and I had a wonderful stay here in Buonconvento. The hosts made sure that we could store our luggage before we checked in, and we were given a tour of the apartment upon checkin. Very clean, well taken-care-of home. Everything we needed-including a clothes washer. Location is right smack in the middle of the older part of town. Hosts were very welcoming. I would definitely stay here again if I happened to be in the area!
