"Extremely poor"

The host double booked the property leaving us without a place to stay. On the phone they were extremely rude, repeatedly hanging up on us. The property was paid for upfront. We had a confirmation number and PIN. The host tried to blame us for not paying the security deposit in advance, despite the ad saying this was payable on arrival. I'd messaged the host the night before via booking.com and via text on the morning of to arrange check in, but they denied any contact was made. I have proof that attempts were made. I now have to take it up with booking.com to try and get a refund. Mistakes happen, even if they are inconvenient, but am at a loss as to the hosts rudeness when trying to resolve the issue.
