Sharilla Resort - Perhentian BS

There is absolutely nothing to like about the property. Total waste of MYR3.2K I paid for 2 nights stay. The breakfast was bad, the rooms were full of bugs and on top of that there is 2-3 hours electricity cut every day. The buffet for lunch and dinner were no value for money and staff is indifferent. Worst place to take your family.

Bagno delle camere vergognoso. Camere non adeguatamente pulite e lenzuola sporche. Pessima risoluzione dei problemi da parte dello staff

Lo mejor es la ubicación, en Coral Bay, una de las playas más bonitas de la isla. Menos saturada que Long Beach y cerca de todo. Las instalaciones muy bonitas. A pie de playa.

El personal no es muy colaborador. Te contestan con monosílabos pero no te ayudan gran cosa. Respecto a instalaciones, lo peor es el baño...sería mejorable pero tampoco está mal mal.

Resort ernstig in verval. Erg rommelig en vies. Absoluut van weg blijven. Overal in het resort lag troep, bouwmaterialen, huisjes en kamers die dichtgetimmerd waren. En dan heb ik het nog niet over stank.

Está bien situado, tiene un aceso a una playita muy mona.

Es muy muy caro para lo que ofrecen. Las camas son muy incomodas, los muelles marcados en la espalda son el souvenir que nos llevamos de las perhentian. Encontramos el primer dia 4 cucarachas que tuvimos el detalle de matar. Fuimos a recepcion, se rieron y nos dieron dos trampas. Al siguiente dia aparecieron en las trampas dos cucarachas mas y dos lagartijas (los seres vivos dentro de la habitacion iban en aumento). Quitamos las alfombras de la habitacion para cazar a mas intrusos y descubrimos que no habian pasado una escoba en años, debajo de la cama habia residuos de otros huespedes (zapatillas, papeles, suciedad...). La puerta del baño no cerraba, cosa que dificultó la convivencia con una de nosotras que tenia diarrea y vomitos. Valoramos positivamente el tendedero, que estaba protegido de la lluvia. Antes de irnos pusimos dos trampas mas, a la espera que dentro de algunos años cuando se dignen a quitarlas, alguien nos de las gracias.

The hotel proposes an ok buffet breakfast (was included in the price of our stay), it's possible to get a lunch a la carte and they propose a buffer BBQ dinner that we really liked. The hotel is located well: if you request a jetty to stop at the Coral Bay beach, the sign to the resort is the first thing you see as you go off the pier. The Coral Bay beach itself is a bit dirty with algae and there're a bit too much of the boats waiting for the snorkelers, however it has a lot of small restaurants and even a bar with alcoholic beverages and cocktails. The hotel provides an access to its own beach, which was quite good - a bit more pebble and stones in the water than on the pebble Coral Bay beach and the Long beach, but it's covered from the sun at morning and provides a nice view at the sunset. The stuff was cheerful and pleasant.

We had a few downsides. While it's possible to request a room clean-up the same day and they change the bed sheets, I think it would have been nice to change towels as well. The room was a bit too humid (not sure how to tackle it in such a humid area) as well as the smell from the AC, the room was a bit too dusty too. On several occasions, there were an electricity short circuit so we spent 30 minutes without it 3 times. One evening, we had a huge cockroach waiting for us. However, we came prepared with anti-mosquito patches, so we didn't suffered from the insects.
