the almost complete lack of windows!

Dimora Sovrana offered excellent service, and my kids absolutely loved the place. My little one still remembers the kindness shown by Anna Maria. Antonio was incredibly helpful, especially when I couldn’t pay via the tobacco shop and they accepted cash instead - which was a huge relief. The accommodation was fantastic, and the location was perfect, just a short walking distance from Matera.

They don’t accept credit card payments, which caused stress last minute, especially being in another country. This was a bit of a hassle but was handled with great understanding.

Near the historical center, shops, parking 8 euro/Day on the Street. Amazing.

The apartment is very clean, very well equipped with everything that you may need and beautifully decorated. Excellent location very close to the Sassi area. Highly recommended, I would stay here again.

It was spacious

-The property advertises a terrace - it is its 3rd picture here, BUT there is no such, unless you have breakfast and it can be used only for 1 hour during this breakfast. If I had known that, I would not have booked the property, as there are plenty of places with nice terraces and views (they tried to explain that something was written on the photo, but come on) - no view at all, you are in an attic room. The semi floor with the bed receives a lot of light from 2 small attic windows, downstairs it is dark and you need lights on during the day - although modern, it was not clean, the carpets look old and overused. Bathroom was not clean. - you can park on the public parking ONLY if you are very lucky - they bombarded me with all kinds of messages before the arrival day - no other place has ever harassed me with so many messages (quizzes, how to get the key, rules, videos, wats app messages and messages in booking) - they offered me to pay less and get free bottle of wine if booking reservation was cancelled. I refused, I find this bad way to avoid commission to the site which advertises you and without which noone will hear about your place! - cash only because of above reason , they try to scam booking

Everything was clean and tidy! We have everything you need for your stay. We stayed here just in time for Halloween, and the decorations in the room were wonderful. They also had Matera cave magnets and Halloween candy as presents, and my kids were so excited! After all, the owner is very kind. They gave me a lot of information on WhatsApp and were very friendly and kind. You can visit many sightseeing spots within walking distance from this place! Definitely recommended in Matera!
