Hostal Casa San Mateo

Beautiful and peaceful place with a very well-maintained property and relaxing backyard area. Perfect if you want somewhere quiet but still close to the center — only around 10 minutes by taxi, with local buses(NIO 6) easily accessible on the main road. The room also had very strong AC, which made the stay especially comfortable in the hot weather. The host was incredibly friendly, responsive, and even offered us a ride to the city center. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it.

Nice oasis in the tropical heat and typical dust and noise of Leon. It's quiet and clean. The host is friendly and helpful. You are able to use the kitchen to cook if you wish. AC in the rooms is really a must have for travelers from more moderate climes. NIce garden to hang out also. Recommended.

Easy check in and the host dropped us in town that evening which was very kind. Great house and garden and off street safe parking.

Wir hatten die ganze riesige Wohnung, ca. 200 qm für uns zwei alleine.

Außen am Haus ist kein Hinweis, daß es sich hier um das Hostal handelt. Auch keine Klingel oder Telefonnummer. Auf Klopfen öffnete der sehr freundliche Besitzer.

Llegada facil, instalaciones cómodas, el cuarto muy espacioso, el aire acondicionado al 100, la cama super cómoda, nos encantó el alojamiento.

No me gustó que la persona que esta a cargo, no responde a lo inmediato, tarde en contactarlo para poder hacerle el pago.

It took a bit to find but getting around in Leon is difficult.

Sharing the kitchen with all the tenants was a bit strange. Someone ate our package of ham. The parking was a bit difficult.
