The area was beautiful, secluded, and quiet.

The WiFi was completely nonfunctional, to the point that I had to find new accommodations because I was (unfortunately) on a working trip that meant I needed consistent internet access. Photos don’t explicitly show that the rooms are not fully closed off from the outside - even if doors and windows are shut, there is decorative carving that leaves the room open to insects and other wildlife. Not the end of the world if clearly described but on a heavily forested street in the middle of the hot and humid Bali rainy season, having to battle nonstop mosquitoes isn’t ideal when not planned for. There’s no clear signage on the property so I wandered building to building for about 10 minutes before I found anyone to check in.

Wow, what an amazing place. I’ve stayed here 4 times now, and will return whenever possible. The location is perfect - quiet and peaceful with a huge fairy tale garden, but close to the chaos of Ubud whenever you want. The garden bursts with life - birds, squirrels, butterflies, frogs - don’t forget to watch for fireflies at night. Simply chilling in front of the room, watching the garden, is an experience in itself. Komang and his family live on the property, and they are what makes this place even better. Very kind, warm, helpful and lovely. Thank you for everything!
